There is never a moment of internal consideration or indecision \u2014 there is only certainty \u2014 which explains why he has no favorites: \u201cEach one, to me, is equal, or I didn\u2019t take it to begin with.\u201d Eggleston can find the perfect gem without ever having to even sift: \u201cI never think about it beforehand.
